The London School of Economics and Political Science invites applications for the C.R.Parekh Fellowship. The fellowship will be for a period of three months preferably starting October 1,2009 and will be based at Asia Research Centre at LSE.The fellow will recieve a monthly subsistance allowence of upto Rs 1200 pounds per month, the exact amount depending on the qualificatio and will be provided with office space and acess to research facilities at the school.Toics of the research should be under following themes. poverty,inequility,human development and social exclusion,quality of public life,regional disparities,identities-gender,ethinicity languages;economy and enviourment;political structures and processess;constitional debates.Preferances will be given to the topics that focusses on social,economical,political and constitional concerns of india.
Reqirements Candidates from India who are established scholars in the social science with experience of research in india.They should hold a PhD or compatiable qualifications and experinces.
