Nobel Biocare, in association with Manipal University have introduced a one year certificate course in oral implantology. The course consists of four modules, with duration of six days each. The course, intended for candidates who have passed BDS from any institution recognised by the Dental Counsil of India or any equivalent institution, is slated to begin in September 2009. Candidates with MDS degree (from any clinical specialty) are also eligible to apply.
The course is a combination of four contact sessions conducted at Manipal and learning experience at the candidates' own workplace in between the sessions. Each batch will have 15 participants, and a minimum of 10 implants in every possible clinical condition will be placed by all the participants.
